The LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® 101,
is a comprehensive, integrated set of tools that give executives, manager and HR professionals the ability to put research-based
leadership and organizational development best practices into action and it will help establish a common competency language
helpful in identifying critical skills needed for individual and organizational success.
At the end of this course, attendees will have a deep understanding of the business case for talent management processes and the data to back it up as well as new skills and tools to further develop best-in-class talent development and people management processes. These tools provide the language business and HR leaders need to create a people strategy that is integrated with business strategy as well as tools to begin executing on these strategies.
Objectives:
- Interpret the research behind the LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® Suite - the studies on experiential learning, derailment, and development.
- Use the LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® Competency Sort Cards to identify differentiating competencies critical for success across different jobs and levels and create job profiles.
- Set the foundation for integrated competency-based HR processes such as interviewing, feedback, development and succession planning, and translate them all back to individual development.
- Assess and prioritize skill gaps between individuals and various job profiles.
- Construct an aligned, competency-based, strategic HR program to provide the greatest value to your organization.
Results:
A common language and background to further develop/incorporate tools to manage your most important asset -
your people.
Who should attend?
Practitioners who wish to learn more about competency-based HR processes, the LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® Suite of
Tools, and those facilitating and implementing developmental language in their organization.
About the facilitator:
Michelle Weitzman, PhD, has built a reputation for driving business results through talent management initiatives that focus on
engaged and productive talent. Both as as an internal HR practitioner and a consultant, Michelle has a proven record of success. In
recent years, she worked extensively with clients to implement the Lominger Suite of Tools® especially in the areas of succession
planning, competency modeling, coaching and feedback, and interviewing. As an internal practitioner she designed organization-wide
skills assessments, employee opinion surveys, and recruiting and selection programs that had tremendous positive impact on the
organizations she worked for.
Michelle has worked across a variety of industries as well as geographies; prior to leaving Korn/Ferry, Michelle was the Lominger
Practice Manager for South America and in addition, she has worked in Europe, Asia, and North America. She has spoken at national
conferences on a variety of HR topics and is a frequent speaker at local HR events. Michelle holds a Ph.D. from the University of
Akron in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
REGISTRATION FEES:
Course Fee: $750 plus materials, which will need to be ordered directly from Lominger International, A Korn/Ferry Company.
Multiple attendees from the same organization are eligible for a 20% discount. Instructions on ordering materials will be
provided upon receipt of your registration. Course materials are estimated to be about $250 per person.

WHAT ARE THE BEST PRACTICES THAT MANAGERS OR HR PROFESSIONALS USE TO STREAMLINE AND STANDARDIZE INTERVIEWS?
Purpose:
Interview Architect® Express has been developed for use by human resource and recruiting professionals to assist
them in creating customized interview guides aligned with the Leadership Architect® competencies. Research on
interviewing success and accuracy shows that structured or formal interviews outperform unstructured or informal
interviewing. The Interview Architect® tools carry with them the ability for hiring managers to more precisely
identify qualified candidates by integrating its easy to use design in their organizations.
At the end of this course, attendees will have the skills and tools necessary to establish the foundation of best practice
interviewing techniques for hiring managers in your organization. Research on interviewing success and accuracy shows that
structured or formal interviews outperform unstructured or informal interviewing. The Interview Architect® tools carry with
them the ability for hiring managers to more precisely identify qualified candidates by integrating its easy to use design
into their own organizations.
Objectives:
- Create structured, simplified interviewing guides. These guides provide everything you need to assess
competencies in a simple-to-use format.
- Identify best practices including the value of asking structured probes
- Apply The Interview Architect® for internal recruiters and/or HR professionals who coordinate recruiting and
selection processes, line managers with an interviewing need, and for internal selection purposes
- Develop practices for training others in your organization on how to effectively use the Interview Architect®
Tools
Result:
Establish the foundation of best practice interviewing techniques that can be transferred for use in your

OVERVIEW
Purpose:
VOICES® is Lominger's
research-based and experience-tested solution for delivering 360o feedback that helps
career-minded people to succeed. VOICES® uses Lominger International's LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® Competencies
(characteristics generally considered beneficial to career success) and/or Career Stallers and Stoppers
(characteristics generally considered harmful to career success) as the foundation by which important
development plans are created. Equipped with best practices for implementing VOICES®, you will be able to
facilitate constructive and meaningful 360o feedback for all levels of your organization.
At the end of this course, attendees will be equipped with the skill set needed to facilitate the entire 360o feedback process in their own organization. VOICES® is Lominger's research-based and experience-tested solution for delivering 360o feedback that helps career-minded people to succeed. The tools provided here will help you to provide meaningful feedback that will make an impact.
Objectives:
- Discuss the theory, use and best practices for 360 feedback
- Describe how learners and raters will use the VOICES® online survey system to provide feedback
- Describe and accurately interpret a VOICES® feedback report
- Provide coaching to feedback receivers at level one or better
- Plan a learner feedback session
