"BUILDING AND SUSTAINING MARKET VALUE THROUGH LEADERSHIP BRAND: CARRYING ON THE JACK WELCH LEGACY"

Presented by Sherry Woodry
In leadership studies conducted over the past several years, the link between financial success and
great leadership practices is clear. In 2007, Hewitt Associates partnered with FORTUNE and The RBL
Group to uncover the differentiating elements found in top companies across the globe and went on to
identify the 20 Top Global Companies for leadership. The companies identified in the research have
clear strategies around leadership, and they execute on those strategies. They have cultures that
cultivate and nurture their talent, and they have a reputation for doing it well. Not surprising, GE
rises to the top. Sherry Woodry will be sharing what GE has done to get to this #1 place, and what it
continues to do in order to stay there.
Sherry Woodry is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources of GE Capital Solutions . Commercial
Distribution Finance, headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Sherry has held a variety of human resource leadership roles across GE with experiences in organization

Alabama; and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. From 1994 to 2000, Sherry served as a Human Resource Manager
