Margaret Smith brings her expertise driving sales revenue through sales team effectiveness and
sales leadership development to our hrHorsepower team.
Margaret has spent over 30 years in several businesses at 3M creating new sales models and
training sales leaders to align to customers, as well as integrating sales departments after
acquisitions. With the help of an HR partner, Margaret has consistently increased revenue in
these areas. Her experience extends to an expertise in global business management, sales force
effectiveness, team building, leadership, key account management, problem solving, and employee
engagement. She is a leader skilled in identifying sales employees. strengths, development
needs, and motivation drivers through job specific assessments and ensuring personal and
company growth through coaching and other development strategies. She is knowledgeable in
developing and executing effective business plans to drive sales growth and meet company
financial objectives. Margaret has been recognized for working with customers to identify
business process improvements, developing and implementing solutions to meet their business
needs and enhance overall company performance.
Throughout all of her work, Margaret has worked with HR to transfer skills to the sales
leaders, leaving them equipped to carry on the changes and to recognize ways to improve on

Margaret lives in Stillwater and in her spare time she enjoys gardening, fitness, and doing
anything with her husband and two teen age sons.
