Renee Raming is the former Director of Strategic Workforce Planning at The Mosaic Company where she recently designed, developed and implemented a homegrown workforce planning process.  Prior to taking on the workforce planning assignment, Renee worked at Mosaic as the Director of HR Compliance and Policy.  She is well known within the Twin Cities legal community for her expertise in Labor and Employee Relations and her work at Allina Health and Northwest Airlines.  Renee is a certified Strategic Workforce Planner and a licensed Minnesota attorney.  Renee operates a local business consulting practice where she facilitates dialogue with executives and their teams to inspire creative problem solving.

The Balancing Act:  Driving Business Results While Keeping the “Human” in Human Resources

Tess is the Vice President of Human Resources for Cardiac & Vascular Group Sales at Medtronic. She is responsible for leading an HR team that provides HR services for the 2,600 person sales force. As a member of the senior leadership team Tess recently led a project to consolidate the groups sales forces. To meet the evolving needs of the business, she also redefined the HR service delivery model and led the creation of the Employee Relations Center of Excellence. Trained in Medtronic’s Change Acceleration Process, Tess is currently utilizing her skills to help shape the creation of an internal coaching program and is in the process of attaining her CPCC Certification from the Coaches Training Institute.

Tess has spent her career driving change in organizations and believes the most effective HR partners combine practicality with creativity for maximum effectiveness. She will share useful tips on “keeping it simple yet effective”  and she will give you insights into how Medtronic is leveraging the emerging trend of talent analytics as a key driver to business performance while staying committed to the “human” in Human Resources.
