This full-day in-person workshop, facilitated by Sue Bergstrom (HR Executive Search Practice Leader & Transformational Human Resources Leader), is designed to help HR team members strengthen their business partnering skills and will help participants identify strategies to align themselves with the business and demonstrate their value in strategic business decisions. Participants will:
Develop the ability to define a business issue and ensure common understanding with leadership
Identify and discuss the steps needed to facilitate a leadership team through an issue/resolution process
Begin development of the skills needed to enhance their effectiveness and confidence leading a team through challenging discussions
Build a tool-kit to support facilitation of this process.
This workshop can also be customized to be conducted on-site with an HR team.
About the presenter:
Sue is a transformational HR leader whose interest over her career has been to elevate the HR profession. It has driven her to raise the bar by connecting HR professionals to knowledge & resources that help them grow as business leaders, as well as by creating win-win relationships with people and organizations by connecting great HR talent with great companies.
Sue brings experience from HR leadership roles at 3M, a small non-profit organization, Deloitte Consulting and Phillips Medisize Corporation, as well as a variety of search and consulting experiences to her role as President of hr connection® She has successfully partnered with clients in a variety of public, private, for-profit and non-profit organizations. Sue has a M.Ed. in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota.
Sue is followed by nearly 15,000 HR and other business leaders across the country on LinkedIn, but, more importantly, she has developed personal relationships with many of these leaders and interacts with highly talented HR professionals and business executives on a daily basis. She has developed a personal and business brand for understanding business and culture and for creating strong and lasting relationships by doing high quality work with integrity.
Sue is also a strong community advocate and supports local charities and non-profit organizations through volunteerism and board involvement that provide resources to disadvantaged children and teenagers as well as promoting healthy lifestyles for older adults. She lives in Hudson, WI and has two adult children who were adopted from Colombia as well as a Goldendoodle named Charlie and a Sheepadoodle named Joy.
